My name is Becky, and "One Literature Nut" came about on a whim. I started this blog as a discussion point for several friends and I, who were supporting me as I studied for the GRE Subject Test in English, to go back and get my PhD. I've since moved on, and really am quite happy teaching high school English. When I not corraling rowdy teenagers at school, I'm teaching online classes at night, which leaves a small window of time for me to do what I love...read. Although I teach English, and really love classics, ethnic literature, and contemporary fiction, I have an eclectic side to me that loves to escape into chick lit, YA fiction, and a romance from time to time. I get a kick out of reality TV, and you can often find my television tuned into Bravo or the Food Network. When I'm not in school in Utah, I split my time at my mother's home in Hawaii, which is a great getaway. Book blogging has been a great way of meeting other great readers and bloggers, and feeding a love I have for reading a book critically.
